I would die for onions, or rather onions?
Did you know that? onions supposedly by the ancient Egyptians as a means of payment used? crazy huh? Apparently, the Egyptians couldn’t get enough of onions and died because of it to the grave placed. A few onions were found in the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun as a snack for the journey ahead.

To whom France The first onions were brought in later 1647. Only in the 19th century, when a young farmer sold the onion to England and returned with pockets of money, did it finally gain fame and glory. Today, onions are an integral part of any kitchen in the world. Whether raw, boiled, caramelized, roasted, pickled… onions always work!
This is done like this:
You need these items:
- 280 g onion, cut into rings
- 200 g mushrooms, sliced
- 30 ml of oil
- 1.5 teaspoons of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 0.5 teaspoons of pepper
- 1 clove of garlic
- 50 ml of brandy
- 200 ml of white wine
- 350 g orecchiette pasta
- 400 ml of vegetable juice
- 50 g Parmesan
- 5 grams of onion
It is very easy to prepare:
- Heat the oil and fry the onion in a pan with thyme, salt, pepper and garlic, stirring occasionally until golden.
- Deglaze with cognac and white wine and add mushrooms and orecchiette pasta.
- Pour the vegetable stock over everything, mix well and cook covered for a few minutes until the pasta is al dente.
- Add Parmesan and stir briefly.
- Garnish the pasta with some scallions and serve.
- Bon Appetit!
