Because Harry Potter is so fitting for November, Katharina baked lightning bolt pumpkin pies and brought lots of magical candy for the audience.

Pumpkin Pies recipe from Hogwarts Express

180 grams of flour

90 g of cold butter

1 egg

¼ teaspoon of salt

60 ml of cold water

Egg yolk for brushing

1 small Hokkaido pumpkin

60 grams of sugar

¼ teaspoon of salt

½ teaspoon of cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground ginger

Puree: Cut the pumpkin in half, remove the seeds, cut into cubes and cook for 15 minutes until soft. Drain the water, make a puree, mix with sugar, cinnamon, ginger and salt.

Dough: Knead the flour with salt, butter and eggs, add water until a smooth dough is obtained. Cool for 30 minutes, roll thinly and cut circles with a glass.

Put a log of puree on each half, fold it, press down the edge and brush it with egg yolk. Carve with a lightning and then bake at 190 degrees (preheated) for 20 minutes.
